Strata Council Power is a newly formed company offering information seminars and advice to Strata Councils. These informal, on site seminars are conducted by Lynne Taylor, a former Strata Council President in a Vancouver condominium. Ms. Taylor has extensive experience in Strata Council work having been the president and on site manager of her own condominium for more than 6 years. She has experienced a wide range of condominium operations and issues, among them repiping, creating and introducing new bylaws, legal matters regarding pets, balcony reconstruction and resurfacing, pest management, tree removal, creating renovation agreements for owners, changing property managers, exterior painting, noise and conflicts with council members. She also has a network of associates on whom she can call for assistance with specific issues related to condominium operations.
"... Lynne, as our president, led our group through the complex process of overseeing the planning and approval stages involved
with renovations done by owners. In the end, the Council successfully protected the integrity of the building, and also created
a procedure that could be followed in the future, a procedure that included a detailed renovation agreement that our Council
continues to use today." "... Lynne can help a Council become truly informed, proactive and effective. In the long run, your building will be better off
both physically and financially and this will trickle down to you. You may not notice that you need her, but with her on your side,
you will wonder what you did without her. Lynne, is, without question, someone you need to hear from." "Stratas are all about people sharing common property and this is no simple matter. The rules and regulations are, most of the time,
confusing and people tend to complicate things even further. This is where Lynne comes in and can effectively help you through the
intricacies of property management. Her strengths are not just a thorough and audacious mind, but she also knows the rules of the strata game
and, more importantly, she knows people. Therefore she'll know upfront what's likely to be the consensus in your group, even in a
delicate situation. This is exactly the kind of situation Lynne successfully helped me with. Thank you Lynne." |
